I wished to share with you a bit about why we produced our summer checking out program.
For me, it was because of my trainees.
For many years of teaching in my personal knowing center, parents would bring their children to me that were behind in reading and spelling.

Sometimes they were just a little bit behind, sometimes they were method behind, and in some cases they were at grade level and simply wanted to progress much faster.
Sometimes this was due to the fact that the students had discovering difficulties like dyslexia and ADHD. Other times, this was merely because the instructors did not teach all of the specific abilities needed to check out.

The program does take some participation from a moms and dad for grades K-2, but for grades 3-8, the majority of kids can do most activities in the program on their own.
