Hi,
I wanted to show you a bit about why we developed our summer season reading program.
For me, it was since of my trainees.
Over the years of mentor in my private learning center, parents would bring their children to me that were behind in reading and spelling.

Often they were simply a little bit behind, sometimes they were method behind, and sometimes they were at grade level and just wanted to progress much faster.
Often this was because the trainees had learning troubles like dyslexia and ADHD. Other times, this was simply because the teachers did not teach all of the particular skills required to read.
There is a science-proven, detailed way that all children can succeed with reading. Sadly, instructors themselves typically are not taught how to teach kids in this way.

The problem was that I was just able to see them for an hour at a time and only two times a week.
How could I get these trainees' abilities up while not just providing a band-aid solution?
Traditional tutors typically simply work on research. This does not address the root cause of trainees' troubles and does not in fact get their skills up.
So, I went to the research study and what I gained from my mentors in my early years of teaching.
I found that brief activities typically produce better outcomes than long labored work.
I discovered that mentor in a systematic and structured way to target each location of reading and spelling worked.

I discovered that brief daily fluency practice helps all trainees check out quicker, more precisely, and naturally improves their understanding abilities.
I found that using graphic organizers helps students discover the main point and information, series occasions, and arrange their ideas to enhance their understanding. Trainees could lastly comprehend and visualize what they read.
I discovered that many words in English follow 8 specific spelling patterns and when you find out the patterns, spelling ends up being much easier and spelling finally makes sense.
I discovered that brain-body activities improve neuroplasticity and translate to making finding out much easier in all areas.
I found that executive function abilities were frequently not taught in school. These skills are so critical, not just with planning for school projects but summer reading program near Austin - TX state in life.

I found that mentor through our senses (hearing, seeing, and doing) enhanced their reading and spelling skills quicker. It did not matter if they had learning challenges or if they were just merely wanting to advance quicker.
I create a program of these findings into short 5-20 minute daily activities that I might do with my students.
It wasn't long before my trainees and parents began seeing tremendous outcomes. Students that were behind by 1-2 years typically got up to grade level in 2-4 months.
Teachers started to ask what I was making with these kids. Moms and dads needed to know what the magic sauce was.
I understood I needed to make my program available to more trainees no matter where they live. I needed to make the program in a way that moms and dads can do it with their kids on their schedule at home.
This is why I developed the summer season reading program.
